New challenge is done!

Our plant received a request for the production of a bucket of a mining excavator with a volume of five cubic meters. If our employees have faced the repair of such a product more than once, then they had to deal with manufacturing "from scratch" for the first time.

Several workshops joined the production of the ladle at once. Process of Casting was carried out at SFW, forgings and a latch of the bottom for the bucket were made at the forging department of MRS-1. Repair and assembling workshop No. 3 has finalized the production.
"We have received blank castings from our colleagues and began to process them on milling, boring and turning machines," said Andriy Karaman, the head of the department RAW-3.

Since the bucket is the main element in the work of excavators, it is subjected to the greatest load, so different types of steel are used for different parts of its manufacture. Employees of RAW-3 took these features into account, when producing such a "giant" and used special steel that is more resistant to such loads. The bucket is assembled from several parts, which requires the highly skilled work of welders. And exactly such specialists work in our workshop."
Currently, the bucket is already with the customer and is actively used in work.
